Yossi ArnheimYossi Arnheim, born in Tel Aviv, is the principal flutist of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra since 1983 and an international soloist holding an impressive career. He has appeared many times as a soloist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra as well as with orchestras outside Israel including the Bratislava Chamber Orchestra and the South-West Germany Chamber Orchestra, The National Symphony Orchestra of China, Romania Radio Orchestra, DohnanyiOrchestra from Budapest and I Musici from Montreal. He appeared in recitals, in chamber music concerts and in festivals all over the world.

He is the head of the winds programme at the Jerusalem Music Center and a flute professor at the Jerusalem Academy of Music as well as the Buchman-Mehta school of music in Tel Aviv. He has released 13 CDs in various international labels. For many years, he has been a member of Sheshbesh, the Jewish Arabic ensemble, performing music from the Middle East with some of the best Arabic musicians in Israel. The ensemble was awarded in 2006 with the Tolerance medal from the European Culture Forum.
